Rukia Kuchiki is a Soul Reaper, a powerful warrior who fights evil spirits called Hollows. She is the first character of the series created by Tite Kubo, and her design was used for all the other Soul Reapers. Rukia is a popular character, often ranking second in Weekly Shōnen Jump's Bleach popularity polls. She is also the most popular female character in the series.
